What are you going to do with your payment
Submitted by Colin Hay on Wed, 2009-04-08 14:01
I don't want this to turn into a discussion on the rights or wrongs of the the $900 stimulus payment that some people will start receiving from today (as we have already done that).
However, I am wondering how many people will be using some or all of it on fishing-related activities or items.
I am aiming to farm some of mine off to buy a new rod - and use some to go chase some salmon.
All the best, Colin Hay

sounds like
you need a better accountant to creatively shuffle your money around to bring your taxable income down - salary sacrificing into your super is a great way to get your taxable income down amongst a host of others.

Payment??????????
What payment???
Oh the stimulus one that we as tax payers are paying for and Big Kev gets the credit for
. I won't be putting mine back into the Oz economy as we don't qualify
. Don't get me wrong... Good for people that do get it but I think the money could be put to better use or distributed a different way.
But if we did get it my share would go towards a new VHF radio and a training courseCheers,

Clarification
Flangies,
If you lodged a tax return last year and earned less than $100,000 last year you are eligible for the payment (or part payment)and should receive it soon. If you haven't lodged a tax return for last year..... DO IT QUICK as the cut off date is 30th June this year!!!!!!
Cheers,

Waiting on instructions from the wife!
I'm sure she'll have a 'very compelling arguement' (I was going to say position, but know where THAT would have lead LOL) to convince me of what I 'need' to use it for.
