Been going 23 years own boat
Been going 23 years own boat etc but had one our best trips ever last year in August doing it the easy way with Bernie on Mahi Mahi!
Like anything can have good weather or bad weather any time of year! August can tend to be windy.

The last few times I've
The last few times I've taken the boat up it's been in August/September usually 2 weeks in August and 1 in step. found the weather to be bloody awesome. But that being said, it can change up there and blow for days as with any spot you go too. January this year was blowing its tits off then died to nothing for a couple days, good enough to chase the ruby snapper if you know what I mean.
Hope that helps

We were there last oct for the month with our 2 8m cats, blew its arse out, only got out wide for maybe 6-7 days, rest was spent either inside the north passage chasing spangos or diving inside the reefs. March- June is the go

As Mason said, the wind did
As Mason said, the wind did come in a little early last year. Normally its not to bad untill November (Blovember). But the second half of last year as whole was quite windy so hopefully it was just a bad year. The water is just starting to heat up around then and you tend to find a few more of the pelagics get a bit more active in closer as the bait fish tend to school up a bit more but that about the only change.
