headed down fishing this morning and forgot my damn bait.
ended up going up to a couple of young guys that were waiting to head out in their tub to see if i could grab a little bit of squid or occy, they only had some prawns but were willing to give me some. even tho thats all they had hoping to convert to bait fish then bigger stuff. before they had left the ramp i managed to nail a few nice gardies . with a 100mtr run up to the ramp i threw them the gardies and said convert these to something bigger, i hope they did as the prawns they gave me turned into 2 dozen nice gardies plus the one i gave to them .
anyone else ever had similar experience

Yeah it always pays to help
Yeah it always pays to help others out. One time in a hire boat from Exmouth we were running very low on 2 stroke oil as the engine was chewing it up like crazy. Coming back from Peak Island and every boat we found was a bloody 4 stroke! Finally found a guy that had some and we asked could we borrow or buy some. He said we could have 1 litre for $50. Had no choice but to buy it but what a flog. Yes get what it's worth but to take advantage like that should end with bad karma IMO.

Agreed meglodon. Pretty low
Agreed meglodon. Pretty low act. I'd have handed it over for nothing and get some in the karma bank.
We had used the boat for a couple of days and had spare oil on board but something went wrong and the oil consumption got really heavy. Not fun hearing the oil warning when you're a fair way from home.
