what happens to swanfish?
Submitted by scottland on Sun, 2011-02-20 18:34
im hell keen for swanfish but just had a look at the conditions. well 45 knot winds (predicted on seabreeze so it could flat as a tack) says it might not be next week. so does swanfish got pushed back a week or does it just plainly get cancelled?

swanfish
lol hahaha
I might not enter... and if I do, I most likely will not win...
with swan fish, so many people enter so lots of fish are caught, its more luck than anything.

Salt
I'd be taking any forecast this far out from the weekend with a grain of salt. Usually does and more than likely will change at least twice!

Bag limits!!
This is also why Bag Limits are in-place and Fisheries Officers and VFLO will be out there this weekend.
Its a family competition, the idea is to get "families" out fishing. Yes there will be alot of people entering but not everyone will be catching fish.
The catch and release section will be a good one, encouraging people to care for their catch and releasing unwanted fish, knowing there'll be fish around for the future generation.
Lets just hope the weather holds up......YES it has just changed again!!

Then perhaps you can duel it out with Biggerfish
(Sean) I believe he has taken out the catch and release a few times.

That's right Brian two years
That's right Brian two years in a row that's only cause usually no one else bothers with catch and release looks like I got some stiff competition this year that's a good thing though would much prefer to loose to a biggerfish that got to swim away beauty of it is if you don't win biggest catch and release your fish can still be entered into biggest cattogary I wounder if my esky will be big enough to keep a 18kg mulloway alive :-) I'll see u Sunday Brian ????

I did hear there will be no biggest Bream prize this year for juniors, but i am not 100% sure, folks will have to check that,,
But it would be good to see everybody go in the C & R section.
