What is your smallest catch
Submitted by Faulkner Family on Thu, 2010-12-02 08:40
O K . here is one for you all. there has been plenty of threads of your biggest catch. But what about your smallest catch while fishing for the big stuff with the big hooks, weather it be jigging , trolling or bottom bashing. If you have any pics of the catch feel free to share

I've got a 60cm KG on a 10/o Hook.
We all know how slamm KG's mouths are!
Picked up plenty of charlie courts and other small funny looking things on lures up north while trawling for trout.
Also some real baby coral trout, like 15cm on the large deep divers....kinda dont know they are there until your lure starts skipping along the top!

the old man and I were fishing in Carnarvon he caught a shark off the small jetty, it was so small it fell through the gap on the jetty boards! still put it down as a Lb shark catch though
All this working keeps getting in the way of fishing!

where are the pics to prove
where are the pics to prove it Ron. without photographic evidence i cant give you the wooden spoon
John, definitely a pearl perch.just has its prison stripes on.
Sounds like the common capture is them tiny flatties, smalest one i have caught while fishing for sand whiting would have only been around the 10 cm mark and the spines still hurt at that size

My smallest catch was a
My smallest catch was a super tiny squid while squidding at ammo dump jetty. It resembled a little blob of goo on my size 2.5 squid jig. We were having a mini competition between me and my housemate and he said that "blob of goo" doesn't count because you can't even tell it's a squid.
Unfortunately I don't have any pictures to prove that.
