When cobia attack

Had a good day out with some nice big fish. Then the cobia came to the party along with loads of ramora. Few big ones landed. 13 kg 11 kg 9 kg and 8 kg . They go bloody hard . Also released 3 others

Yep cobia go mental alright!
We always have the plan to get them straight into the esky and subdue them/de-rig them in there then lid down asap. One clean motion from ocean to esky.

Probably only 1 more trip out going by the weight of fillets we have. People in the park that can't go fishing are getting a share of the catch as well

Yeah they go hard Russ. I remember catching one off the bottom in about 15m in the Mackerel Islands. Certainly went a lot harder than the target species!
