i take my 11 ft tinny out off
i take my 11 ft tinny out off hillarys a fair bit around cow rocks (just out from harbour entrance), it's handy because if the weather picks up and starts getting hairy it's only a short fang back into the harbour. mainly get herring, whiting and heaps of wrasse around those rocks. also if the weather is mint you could go even further out to marmion reef, really gotta pick the weather though and keep a good eye out for waves. i leave the engine running when i go that far out just incase a freak set comes in.

I got a 12ft aswell I usually go out a few km and anchor up and berly usually get a lot of skippy, whiting, pinkies, heaps of reef species and then after go drift on this sand/weed spot and pull up monster flatties and heaps of whiting, every time we go out I usually hook something big on the bream rod, so next time will bring my 5k Stella and see what else lurks around, probably sambos

Trollin the beaches and close
Trollin the beaches and close to shore reefs will yield tailor, clear water and weed free is ideal, when it cools off the weed beds around hillarys fire for squid. Otherwise with the aid of a sounder and gps(charts) headin south of hillarys off scarborough before sunrise with low wind conditions will put you in the running for pinkies and dhus, bit ballsy in a 12ft tho, mines 15ft. Nuthin wrong with a hunt for some mannas, and trollin up some tailor and flatties in the swan atm
I am, as I've said, merely competent. But in an age of incompetence, that makes me extraordinary.

Lot of squid around the
Lot of squid around the patchy ground around little island mate. And have heard from reliable mates that on the north side of little island is good for gardies an herring. Just need to fish the right rigs like float rigs with a nice small hook for the gardies small mouth and very light leader like 4lb
