Hey guys,
I'm not sure if its true but me dad said one of his workmates heard that white hills beach has been closed off???? I'm not sure if its true because a few of my mates have been recently(2-3weeks ago), and were thinking about going there in a week or two, so can anyone confirm this??

Rumor only I hope
Nothing i could find doing a search

Wouldn't suprise me if some enforcement comes in soon, I lot of 4WD's accessing dunes not just for camping but also to do hill climbing. Been getting worse ever time I've headed done. Be a lot of pissed off Fisho's if the beach was closed. I done stay overnight when ever i get a chance, was actually advised by one ranger that I could "camp" where a dune access track was. "Not to far in just block off the track so your not on the beach to close to the main beach track" Other time I've been growled at for having one wheel inside the dune line. Rangers normally come in from Preston beach entry these rangers are from the Waroona shire and only have control about 10km northward. I've only seen Mandurah rangers at the White Hills entry never patrolling the beach, this is the end where the bulk of the costal damage is being done.
P.S. Anyone head down this weekend?

rumour
I doubt its true (I hope). The rangers are pretty good usually down thee if your having a fish and doing the right thing. I think there would have been some public consultation if it were to be closed off

it's time
i think that if responsable fishos don't take some sort of action we could be at risk of loosing a few good access points to some great fishing areas and places you can camp on the beach. what sort of action i suggest, a quick photo with the phone showing the 4x4 doing damage and the number plate and, being good enough to go to court and state what you have witnessed. take the photo to the local shire and make a complaint say you are willing to front court and tell them you are a responsable fisho who is mighty pissed off at the actions of a small group of fools

We are always at risk
This seems to me to be just a rumour. I am certain the shire would present a motion for public comment before closing anything as there are a lot of stakeholders involved. Close Whitehills then you may as well close the lot.
Not sure we need any vigilante or dobber actions unless there is blatant vandalism happening. It gets to a situation where we are all dobbing on each other for one reason or another and that's not a good situation. Personally, I respect the terrain and drive accordingly. Perhaps everyone else should do the same thing. The issues of fires and rubbish are always there and it will continue while we have so many bogans using the venue as a place of drunken frollick.

hopefully this doesnt happen
i dont get home till christmas but in my 3 week break plan on hitting it a couple times
if anyone is keen too double up..let me know it would be good too meet a few more members..allways looking for fishing partners..normally go it alone
most me mates work up north as well so between different rosters and the fact they refuse too get up before 10 am on RnR ..leaves me with a nice quiet fishing sesh..
have all my own gear and 4wd,will travel.. lol
