Whiting ID

Great day out with my boy, landed a good dhu on my whiting rod, 20lb trilene, tiny circle hook and a pea sized piece of prawn. Plenty of whiting and a big kg for the boy. 11 crays on the way back in. Moved my pots 100m further out onto the proper reef/ sand edge. Tried for herring but caught gardie after gardie, heaps out there but I think there still protected.
Cheers.

Great feed there. That big
Great feed there. That big whiting your holding in the first pic must be on steroids . Great catch on whiting gear. Pity it couldn't be kept

Only gardies
To the best of my knowledge the only gardies that are protected are the southern gardie, easy to identify bottom lobe of tail is shorter than top ( I think)
