Sorry about the lack of report(s) so far. The latest little expedition was a GT Tournament at Elusive Reef with Nomad, organised by Brandon Khoo and Monster Class Anglers. It was a ball of fun, even if the weather and fish didn't always play fair.
I think I landed around 7 GTs above 30kg, with the biggest at about 39. The most GTs I caught in a day was 6. The rod up there is a Komodo Dragon, but I was also using a Ripple Fisher 79H for most of the trip, casting a Fullscale Kong 200 courtesy of Crusty Sr. That lure is still going strong after 10 fish! I also had the opportunity to fish with a range of other Carpenters and Ripple Fishers - oh if only I had more money!
The organisation was excellent, the Nomad crew were great and the company was crazy and completely entertaining. This trip was the longest popping-dedicated trip I have ever been on so far, with 7 days of non-stop casting.
Unfortunately, its back to reality for me now and that means dealing with a big ugly pile of accumulated work! Rob was on the trip too so I'll let him put up the rest of the report and photos, if he wants to. I'll put mine up once I get a chance to breathe from the office.
You can also find a detailed report with lots of pics (not that a few of you haven't already seen it) at the gtpopping forum.
