My mate got a nice pinky on a red head crazy deep, not wierd, just not so common, he sounded the fish on the way over the 3 mile and dropped the lure down on the rigger

Was behind 5 fathom, saw bird smashing surface a small distance away. Pulled anchor and got some rapalas out the back, went close to the activity and instant hookup. Got a 5 foot bronzie. So sure was gonna be our first metro mackie or big tuna.

Nor westa off Green Head, 5

Fri, 2013-05-24 10:14

Nor westa off Green Head, 5 mins after a snook of around 70cm which was just after a 22Kg YTK which was the first fish caught on my boat (first outing!).

A couple of weeks after, out the back of Garden Island, a male Sergeant Baker of around 55cm - couldn't believe it...

Oh... did I mention I caught my first Mackie on last weekend at Jurien? Trolling a Rapala CD18 Blue Sardine - 15Kg, not weird, but I'm now a very happy boy...

:)
