Well we have arrived at groote safe and sound. 4wd has arrived, and boat should be here thursday on the barge. Last 3 days have been calm, and the rain has stopped..im itching to get out for a fish. Been and checked out the boat ramp, and come across this bag limit sign. I must say they are generous up here..no more 3 month bans, yipeee!

yep you have to hand it too
yep you have to hand it too the NT for keeping size, bag and boat limits simple and well within the means of a tourist to understand (insert clapping here). Also they keep information on things like closed areas and season in a easy to find spot.
When I first moved to WA I had a hell of a time working out what I could and couldn't do, and I came out of an industry that should have had above average knowledge of fisheries legislation. The first real trip Brad and I did to the Monties he had a hell of a time trying to find out the sanctuary zones up there, only through constant searching, questioning and typing the exact right thing into the DEC website did something come up.

awesome
yep sure do have to give it to them alright! all the best in ur groote exploration there wade... as u said tim there is nothing worse than conflicting and confusing rules... we had a hell of a time at the geraldton fisheries office trying to source wat we could bring back during a 2night stay... 3 people all in person all in the office with conflicting infomation! they ended up arguing and we ended up leaving hahahaha hilarious

Glad the rain has stopped Wade
I read somewhere the other day that Groote had one of the wettest periods on record recently.

sure has mate, the place in very wet at the moment. Seen as much rain here in one week as i would in a year in perth. Was a late wet season this year. The dragon flys are out now, so hopefully the dry is on its way!

that sign would have to be
that sign would have to be one of the easiest to read and understand. why cant they all be that simple. so if you are allowed that many fish you might need a bigger freezer and only fish 2 or 3 times a year. that means you will be doing your bit for the environment by not using as much fuel in your boat. hope all goes well for you guys up there
