Starting to think about winscreen replacement on the boat. Just wondering what if any are the reasons toughened glass is not used on smaller boats.

I've done a couple of rebuilds and have replaced windscreens. It depends on the size of the panels and the chance of green water of the bow.
Toughened glass is easy to clean, steel wool comes in handy and does not scratch, but you have to be careful of plastics and perspects etc.........
If it is only a small surface, i'd go glass.......
