Now that the tailor are getting quiet and the salmon have passed metro, is there any other winter species popping up off the beach?

Give them both a chance
Give them both a chance mate!
Both fish will be around all winter and into Summer if you know where to look. After the huge numbers of salmon we've had this season there'll be good numbers of stragglers left behind to become residents around town

Have to agree with this. Got
Have to agree with this. Got heaps of little tailor over summer but I'm hoping to break my PB over winter.
The other bonus with the cold is the beaches have less crowds.

Oh I'm happy I thought that the beach fishing would be over now for a couple of months now . I might head to trigg beach soon for some tailor with mulie and might catch a straggler salmon.

Where are the salmon
Where are the salmon expected to be over the weekend? Between Mandurah and metro. I went to the north mole last week and no sign of salmon at all and about 10 herring.

The second groin on the
The second groin on the northside of the Dawesville Cut the long groin. Use Maria Bulchops White richter plugs and halco twisties.
Stand on the end cast out as far as you can and wind like a mad woman. If you cant get the ends dont stress either side still produced just as many fish on the weekend.

Swell may be too big for mole. Any good beaches in metro?
Was originally going to the north mole tomorrow but a friend went to the cut rocks this morning and the waves didn't stop when hitting rocks and went just straight through and didn't break until the beach. The swell is 3.2 metres at the mole tomorrow so the same might Happen. Westerly wind so it will be hard to cast out.
so getting straight to the point does anybody know a good metro beach that is doing well with the salmon schools now? I have some 2oz richter plugs and heavy twisty's. Also got a live bait rig if need to use. Can't go down to rockingham because it is too far.
