went fishing around 4 months ago now. headed down to stratham a local beach for me. seems i didnt have my licence i rode my pushy 8kms to the beach about 8 am i got there set up the little rod and started flicking around wasnt much on the chew. so about 9.45 i rigged up my big 12ft rod fin-nor serf reel running sinker rig to a swivel which ran a one meter if 60lb leader line down to two snelled 6/0 gamakatsu ocy hooks threw on a squid (with mulie stuffed into the tube) luttle party trick secret mulla bait thre it out and sat in the rod holder. after about 5 minuts i seen the rod move a luttle knowimg it was a fish because it was a flat no swell day. picked up rod to get two massive wack wacks struck the hooks in good and away she went. the fighr lasted half an hour first run was about 120metre. beached the beast smiles all roumd had to call dad to pixk me up disnt fit in the bucket haha was a good fish to open the mulla account with. went 41lb or 18kg was 133cm long.
