Yamaha tilt/trim replacement
Submitted by Adam Gallash on Sat, 2020-03-28 08:30
My yami 115 4 stroke tilt/trim is almost shot, have topped up hydraulics etc but last service it was mentioned it was on its way out due to wearing (cant remember exact terminology used as was a while back, but it does stop in place at times which is nerve wracking when trimming up at the islands and not going down!).
Didnt get a quote at the time, anyone got a rough idea of cost to replace?
Cheers
Adam

Had that prob with our first
Had that prob with our first boat not long after we got it . We weighed up all options and with the cost involved we ended getting a new motor.
Weigh up how old the motor is and how well maintained it is . There is some good second hand sinks out there where people have gone up to bigger motor

Mine went on a 60hp Yamaha.
Mine went on a 60hp Yamaha. You can get them for half the price from the US, but not an option for me due to shipping times. If yours is still working it's an option. Fitting them is really simple.

Go the rebuild
As long as the pump motor is good it's only a matter of o rings and dust caps, nothing too major at all.
