Yanchept / Two Rocks area

Thinking of heading up that way tomorrow. Anyone know if you are allowed to spear up there? Last I heard you weren't allowed in the lagoon, but whats the go with the surrounding areas?

If you are allowed, is there even anything around at the moment?

Planning on going for a spear during the day whilst it's hot and then fish for tailor in the arvo.

I wont be bothering spearing until the ban's lifted. Better off getting a few crays I rekon.

If i were to go to Hamelin or anywhere within 200k's i'd only be looking at spearing harlies (i'm pretty sure you can take em), skippy, sea sweep, sambos, kg's etc.

Not worth the fuel unless you need some practice! Better than working though I suppose.

nothing worth spearing until the ban is lifted really.

Harrass the crays (if you have a license) until Dec 15th.

Cheers for the tips guys. The ban doesn't really affect me much when I'm spearing because I'm not good enough to target those sort of fish and can't hold my breath long enough to get down to the depth they are haha.

I just do It for a bit of fun every now and then, mainly just chase KGs, skippy, flathead, tarwhine etc.

Ended up going down to point peron, wasn't much about except for a few good sized whiting but they were very spooky so couldn't get one. Bumped into a couple of good size squid, speared one that was the biggest ive seen in a long while. Tube length was well over 40cm.
