That thing is a beast.
What did you get it on?
When asked by a non-fisherman 'how many fishing rods do you really need?' the correct answer is either:
n+1 (where n is the number of fishing rods you currently own); or
n-1 (where n is the number of fishing rods which would cause your significant other to dump you.

If I spent half as long fishing , as I do reading this bloody forum , I'd be twice the fisherman I am.

A Spheros/Saragosa 8000 on a 30lb Fin-Nor rod would make a nice bait outfit. If you want something to chuck plastics around with as well, look at a Raider Barra Spin/Stradic 5000.

have a few marks on the three mile that have produced heaps of undersize pinkies, though no size. Perhaps they've all grown up!;)

shallow water pinks
those big pinks are very hard to stop over reef in under 20 m of water thats for sure!!, its a fine line between too heavy and no bites and too light and not landing them! they sure know how to find something to cut you off on!! well done! cheers

yeah i fish the sara 5000
yeah i fish the sara 5000 with 15lb braid and starlo snapper H 6-10kg rod. works awesome and still land the 9kg fish but it takes a bit more time and a bit more luck. but is your wanting to stop them quicker i would step to the 8000 and the fin-nor rods are pretty nice.played with them a few times and im still wondering how they did it!
