Living in sunny Carnarvon we get this shit every day. Had my Ute windows smashed last week . Doors were unlocked, lazy people can’t even open a door. You want to go to town on em with a blow torch and a pair of pliers but you can’t. If you were to go beserk you can guarantee that your house will be torched and every one of theirs cousins , aunts and uncles would have their two cents worth in destroying your property. Take pictures and go to the Police . Call department of housing , make complaints . Believe you me the squeaky wheel gets oiled . It depressing some days seeing the amount of broken shit around this town being done by a small percentage of the population . It’s a vicious never ending cycle . On that note let’s talk about the f@#$*&g wind !

My inlaws in farming up out of Gerro deal with this crap often. They had a 600k boom spray stashed out of sight in a valley at one of their properties overnight, "pighunters" came in found it, cut a hose of and drove a knife through the bottom of the tank so they could fill their Ute. Once Ute was full the rest was wasted on the ground. Like Silver Fox suggests there ain't much you can do. You seek revenge and they're likely to come past on a warm day and flick a match into your crop and burn you out.

Times have changed dramatically since these old self defence laws were put into place (probably 100 yrs ago) They may have suited the situation back then when most of these acts consisted of no more than raiding the backyard apple tree.However move foward to today and we find we live in a very dngerous ,drug crazed society with little moral boundaries,laws need to be changed and the U.S model is the way to go.

Maguinty changed the law about self defence when your home is invaded, the out come was that you could use force to defend yourself or loved one if the invader entered you home. The big caveat was that the force used by you was not excessive and there is the devil in small print.
there was a case some time back where a bloke was pissed off about his business being broken into on a regular basis, long story short he and his son caught the perps inside their business one night and gave them a hiding, result father and son charged with assault and found to have used excessive force by giving the low life a hiding, .........go figure that out.
