The sides are paper thin and will probably get some more layers of glass as well as ribs. This has presented a bit of a problem as I may have to convert the subfloor structure to something a bit more conventional like a ribs + stringers. It could have some knock-on benefits like allowing me to put a fuel tank below the floor which is impossible with the present bracing.
I may convert forward of the CC to a casting deck with stowage underneath.
It even has a glass bottom, a feature I'm pretty keen to retain.
I got a quote for a pod for it, but it was barmy. Unsure if I'll get some more quotes or just do it myself, either out of glass or ali.
make the pod yourself till its dead easy i have a cpl of mates who have and its dead easy why pay someone else when you clearly have the skills to do it yourself go glass all the way pal.all it takes is some research!
I'm really loathe to raise the floor on mine. It will raise the COG too much and its pretty risky business in a small boat. Thats why I'll go for a forward casting deck with storage underneath, but leave enough space to kit up a couple of divers.
Anyone know anything about glass pods? Not sure if ti isn;t easier to just make a pod and swim-step follow the line of the hull and glass it in while the boat is in bits anyway.

Baron rebuild 15
Like some of the ideas you have. If possible increase the floor level to give yourselfas much storage space under the deck.
The pod I had built cost just over $1500 and has side steps, ladder and rails the link up with the top of the sides.
With the extra glass in the hull and stringers you will find that the boat will sit lower but will have excellent stability.
goodluck.
