4kg Buff

4kg Buff

Went for a fish yesterday targeting Buff down the local marina, managed to get quiet a few including this one of 4kg. Would have to say they are quite a hard fish to target and pound for pound put up an excellent fight. Well worth the trip.

A buff bream that size would have really gone hard. What were you using for bait?

Yeh Its very different

Yeh Its very different targeting them. They have a row of very sharp teeth and the larger ones often resulted in bite offs, use too heavy a leader and they would shy from the bait so it was a trade off, fish light and get fish or fish heavy and get nothing

Enjoy a good hard ...... Fish

That would have been fun Paul

Were you using a blob float or a pencil type float. I have some blackfish floats that I am keen to give the buff bream a go with.
