Just the one Till, this one was well behaved and one of the easier fights I've had in shallow water.

Adam did you keep this fish?
Adam did you keep this fish? If you did, was the meat tougher then usual? Back in Asia, when we got the shallow water trouts and their skin was faded like this, the flesh was always tougher and I was wondering if the same held true here.

Kept
Certainly was kept and meat was sensational. The fish comes up with all its colour but loses it as time goes on, or can lose them as it comes to the surface with fright.

Nice Trout Adam.Trout that
Nice Trout Adam.
Trout that are line caught will generally have the bright orange/white colouration, whilst trout that are shot will keep their green/brown/orange colouration when dead. Probably has something to do with the level of trauma the two different methods have on the fish!
IMO the best eating, frequently encountered fish in the north.
