Avet EX series fishing reels

Avet EX series fishing reels

I was at the tackle store this morning and the saleman was hell bent on selling me one of these.  Mind you I was extremely impressed with what I saw an am considering a possible purchase.  With the extra large handle (for winching),  free spinning spool (which spun for over 30 seconds in free spool-small things for small minds) and large line capacity it looks like quite a good buy.

Just wondering if anyone had any experience with the Avet EX series fishing reels.

Ive had mine for 18 months now ,still like brand new.It has only been rinced in fresh after every trip .the drag settings are huge and they hold 500 plus of line.mine has 6.3 turns to one crank which make them a good spiinning reel one you learn to cast it(that spool doesnt stop ).Im going to get another one but the price of them has doubled inthe last year.I guess that comes with them getting more popular.bought mine on ebay from the US fully spooled, surgest you check there before you buy here .

There are two types of people ,do'ers and watchers
Right now the do'ers are the doing it
And the watchers are watching us do it
