16lb maybe (which is still a big queenie) but 16kg seems a bit too large (state record is only a little over 11kg).

Looks like a very successful trip out.

Is tha boba fett in the front? haha

Is a charter boat, unfortunately he's no longer in Mandurah.

The Dhuie that Corrina is holding went 16 kilos, and Wazz (holding the queenie) reckoned it was the same when they weighed them at home - he's about 6 foot 4, maybe 6' 5", so it was a pretty big lump of fish either way.

The hat worked, but it wasn't really big enough - no sunscreen on hands = more fish on the line, so I've gone to a frillneck now, but they need an extra "face flap" so you can leave the sides down better protection of your neck.

Then again, at my age, the damage is probably already done.

Yeah, frillnecks are great,

Yeah, frillnecks are great, and you can wear them mutiple ways depending on what you prefer thanks to all the velcro tabs everywhere on them. Long sleeve shirt, frillneck and sun gloves = no sunscreen + no subburn :D.

(Just havent seen someone do up the hat like that, reminded me of boba fett or a ye olde knight helmet, hehe)

For 'faceflap', when in the tropics, I did it like this.  So right flap attaches to left near neck, then the left flap folds over face near right ear. Full sun protection incl nose (though loose in that pic). Just pull the flap away and you're face is exposed if you want to eat, etc. Good visiblity as well.
Quite versatile things, and preferring it over a buff at this point.
