Biggest catch on 15Kg standup gear

Biggest catch on 15Kg standup gear

I thought this was a pretty good catch on 15Kg line class with no wire trace. It was caught and released off Exmouth when we were there in May

no wasen't eye hooked, line

Sat, 2008-06-28 18:05

no wasen't eye hooked, line was around its head.

Not sure what type of shark it was but got it up to the side and cut the trace right at the hook and it swam off fine.

Not many Grey Nurses around

Sat, 2008-06-28 18:12

Not many Grey Nurses around now, They use them alot at Oceanariums, they look fierce but are a very docile shark, Were targeted alot by spearfisherman, good eating.

Just trailing behind!

If you see the two fishes there behind him, look awefully like Cobes though. Ah well!

Cheers lads,

Lucky not to have been (obviously) sharked without a trace - would have pulled some line!
