I have seen this in a few different places, this came from the Lizard Island game fishing site I think.

cant remember the beam on the boat, but i think it would put this fish into some perspective of its size, maybe if the guys from commodore or allrounder can remember i might be able to work it out

well if you take the beam as 2.5m

That graphs reckons 150kg.

It did take both of us to hoof it into the boat?

No way thats 140kg. They weighed a 140kg black at gamex this year and it pissed all over that, no offence to Matt, but I'd put that very close to 100, if not the magic mark. I'm trying to find the photo's but not sure where they are hidden, will try and dig them up.

its not 140, a number of years ago we weighed one that went 140kg over at bermagui, but that fish was long and not bulky, from what i know part of this equasion has to include a girth, i have weighed 2 other marlin personally one at 105kg and one at 82kg, both fish were the same length, the later was a sick fish caught at busselton, i still hold it to be around the 100, maybe pushing 105 comparing to the one i weighed years ago

Based on the beam

Based on the beam of the boat I would say that around the 100kg is correct if you go by the chart.

Beam at that point is around 2.2m
