nice little blue salmon mate... bit of difference to a real threadie but a salmon none the less... not bad chewing fresh.... dont fight to bad on the light gear aswell.... congrats on the first

but yeh it is a threadie ya cant see it too well ive caught heaps of blue nosed salmon, deffinatly a thready mate 4 threads either side of the fish i just forgot to push em out to show em off

blue nose salmon also have the whiskers mate just not as pronounced.... threadies i think have 6 or 7 whiskers and they are alot longer... the head of a blue is alot more sharper/pointy than Giant Threadfin and they are alot shorter and stockier when compared to a threadie of similar length.... when you compare the 2 together at the same time there is a fair amount of difference

i got it on 20lb braid on the calcutta with a 6 to 10kg tcurve went crazy there so similar i thort it was a thready cus it has a realy slender long tail for its body but yeh the threads arent distinctive enough i dont think and it doesnt have that tinge of yellow on the pectorals im pretty sure they have aye ?
