John you big meany, we can't help our looks!! Or elderly photographers taking multiple pics without the fish in frame.
Funnily enough I had one of the most intriguing cray pot incidents, after struggling to pull my pot with the easterly wind & suspecting a damn big wobby was in it we decided to come back on way back from a fish. Again the old armstrong winch was in big trouble with fatigue & multiple cut outs under load, it's an awesome pro pot built by a forum member here & my best catcher but it's never given me so much grief. Some timely assistance arrived when it was seen to hold a good bag of crays but phuck me some nyunt(s) put a huge plate weight with fresh galv bolts on a steel bottom pot, wtf? Been a while between me getting out & an empty bait basket but some new serious ballast & good haul of cray!?! bloody thing was heavy enough, aside from a few theories I am baffled...
Another good dhuie & BB to father in law on bait & a blue groper on same jig to me, looked like nice conditions but with a ne wind swell, cross current & changing light winds felt like a bobbing cork with some drifts almost going in a cricle.
How did you go wind wise fishing the cape yesterday?
We decided to head out early and wait for the wind to settle.. bad move! We went and sheltered on the west side of the cape in 30-40m for about 3 hours waiting for it to die down but took longer than forcast. It was blowing its ass off. And only one undersize dhu i couldnt keep my jigs away for the sergeant bakers.
The cape area south can be a funny place with easterlies at this time of the year. Found from years of experience that if you get out about 3-4nm it drops right off MOST times.

Body building
Could be someone who knows him thinks those chicken wings needs a bit more shape to them and goes about it secretly by adding weight to the pot
