300's in a 20kn easterly, not

Fri, 2011-05-13 23:26

300's in a 20kn easterly, not going to see that in Perth. Looks like a pretty succesful trip. I imagine you were using some pretty big sinkers?

That last pic is looking like a Split Enz song ;)

Oh mate,

Sat, 2011-05-14 09:12

one drop in the 300's with 48oz on, no good. Even reversing back on the drift we were still doing 2knots on the GPS

The Nanny's were in the 180's, you only have to hit the bottom at that lump and your on. I managed 1 on a jig before we decided 3 lines down in that drift was too hard.

big ones

Sat, 2011-05-14 21:31

think they were all around 2.5-3.5kg ,

cheers liam, yup it was shiit out there, we had to work for them but like matty said this lump is good ,he loves it, i like these grounds as we are only a cple of mile from the shelf and I have very "interesting" spots out there to fish, unlucky our sounder on the day stuggled but  now the sounding issues are fixed, so watch this space as some monster cod are gonna get caught very very soooon,
