This screen shot looks like it did underwater with a small opening in the roof and a side entrance from the west. Just gotta keep still or else the sandy bottom stirs up quick smart and then it's crays no more.
I've just checked out the vidoes from today so will try to post one up.
Pick it up in a couple of weeks Neels 12th nov. Seaswirl Striper 2601 turbo diesel, google and have a butchers hook. We have been laying low for a while since we sold the other one, so will def catch up with you guys in the not too distant future and have that drink!!!!
Well there we have it - a Kodak moment - a photo of the sea floor
And the whole time I thought the physics of Sound Waves would make it impossible to penetrate sea bed
I was wrong
So which side of this "photo of the bottom" is the west side with the side opening Lucky Tim? Is it the left side of this photo or the right?
It's kind of interesting that this cave's bottom profile almost mirrors the top profile hey - Interesting Almost make me think it could be a double echo - Nope, not possible - it's a cave
In fact I think the whole picture is of a cave - see the roof on the top of the sounder - it's at 0 metres - the sounder shows "bottom" there - so it must be
I think the small crack on the left is the small horizontal entrance out to the west, and the "hole" coming through the top is the cave roof tunnel. There were a few small cracks running through this cave so sound echos can get in.
I'm still not 100% convinced on the argument but the pic does look a lot like the cave under water.

Actually thats the thing
Actually thats the thing Drew, lots of caves do have a pointy bottom, the sand finds it's angle of repose I guess.

The less people that know how to read a sounder
the more fish for the ones that do......
So tell me have you got your info from years on the water or hours on the internet?
