Cockburn Sound Mulloway

I finally caught something of size inside Cockburn Sound (last Thursday).
Not the best picture as I was fishing solo and wanted to get her back in the water ASAP. She went 1.25m but no idea of weight. She was bloody heavy though, at least compared to the usual stuff I catch.
I was chasing the elusive pinkies (haven't caught a size one in Perth) and ended up with this, which is a pretty good consolation prize. I also managed a gummy shark of around 1m (my first) but put her back as was very skinny.
Also managed 4 pinkies at 400mm and 1 at 480mm, so I'm hoping that first size pinkie isn't too far away!!!

Good Work mate.
Excellent fish, Very healthy looking. Well done on the release.
If you can catch a mully you are not too far catching a sized pink snapper.
Looks like you are doing all the right things, its just a matter of time.
All the best.

great catch
I like how it is as wide as the boat, you might need a bigger boat if you keep catching like that

Great fish well done on the
Great fish well done on the release too. Sounds like you're onto a decent spot should probably start seeing some bigger pinks soon enough
