When i

 First read this early today i thought surely not, was going to comment and thought every man and his dog that owns a boat knows about the snapper ban period!!.

Then i thought maybe he is trolling for a bite?? posting a pic and topic heading this time of year!!

So benifit of dout to him its a great fish and many hours were put in fishing the sound before the ban kicked in and not always a fish was caught, so well done.

PS;

But then on the other hand a few weeks ago came in to the ramp for an inspection by fisheries, great have a quick yarn hows all been going to the fisheries bloke!  He starts to tell me about the two blokes in the boat at the other jetty next to me! No flares no life jackets, no skippers tickets and no fishing licenses, some people just dont know the rules!

A reply would be good!!

Good to hear Wiggum, possibly a decent idea to throw up a quick story behind the fish at the same time, to quash any suspicion, as some people around here can be pretty quick to judge.

Nice work Wiggum, bit disappointed with the automatically guilty verdict handed down by a few. Sigh.

Top stuff Wiggum. I still think the ban should be exempt for shore based snapper, so as kids can have a crack at catching a decent fish. I remember even in times of plentiful snapper in the sound it was still few and fair between fof snapper on the jetties. I suppose it would be too hard to police.
