Containers Amberjack
Submitted by Simo_ on Fri, 2008-10-03 21:59
Went out fishing today with till, the day started off good with till getting 2 dhuies in 2 drifts one under sized and one just over(both released). I got a size Pinkie that went into the esky. After that we hit the containers to look for some sambos, no sambos around but I got 2 Amberjacks on jig, another first for me
After that we did some more bottom fishing, but only managed to donate sinkers and hooks to the ocean. Near the end on the day I hooked up big time but the hooks pulled out, all I got was 2 big scales on my hook
It was a good day out, thanks to till for the company

Yeah cheers for the day out!
Yeah cheers for the day out! It was great fun in bizzare conditions and the fresh fish for dinner can't be topped!
The weather was extremely variable, every drift different. Winds swinging around or stopping, drizzle, sun, drizzle, cloudy, sunny, choppy, glass-off.
Could be a visit to a tackle shop soonish before another trip out to 80-100m. Aside from those lost rigs I could use some bigger jigs!

Sinkers
Catching them on sinkers was pretty good fun too.
