The crays are getting softer

Headed out again today, nice late morning start and only about 5 trailers at the ramp. Dived 3 new spots in 30, 20 and 12 metres and there are a few whites around now and quite a few in the process of shedding their shells. Different type of ground in each spot and each one produced a few crays, much better in the deeper water though.the visibility is awesome at the moment, we were spotting crays from 20m on the descent. Have never seen so many wobbies one was guarding an absolute horse that just eluded me, will go back another time for him I think.

Roger that, I think the olds are heading down this weekend should get them to swing in. Going to check the pots friday being only the first soak & if they are nuding up I doubt they will be successful

Great stuff. There is plenty of them around at the moment, that's for sure. We've boated out the last two trips, returning sized crays as we had more than enough. You're right, better conditions in the deeper stuff, but still heaps in the 12-15s as well.
The best reason for doing what's right today is tomorrow.
