Yes they are old. All except Dan and his Dad were taken in 2003. Nothing changes though. White sharks have only one enemy...us. Pretty sad really. They are just doing what millions of years of evolution has honed them for and most people loath, fear or hate them. With some it is all three. Problem is humans in wetsuits and on surfboards look like a seal or sea lion (their favorite tucker) basking on the surface. If you are ever so lucky to encounter one (in safety of course) it is something you will never forget. Reminds you how insignificant you really are in their envirinment. I agree on one thing, I don't swim south of the 26th either and if I ever did meet one in the water he would have to negotiate a huge brown cloud to find me.

Unfortunately or fortunately..
Well unfortunately or should say fortunately
I have had an encounter.. spearfishing
with a mate we had one do some laps
around us . Luckily he or she was full
of seal which was not far from us floating
missing its bottom half .. which we did not
know or see . Until a mate sent pics .Then very next day a man
got taken on a swim .Our dive site on the day was
not far from one of our recent fatalities
a lady diving for crays . Was on the coast
the morning that happened also .,
