Hi Sea-kem, was caught in 80 meters and was about 10th caught that day (back in Jan). Caught using a whole scaly. Others ranged from 4-9 KG.
If you head out try the 60 - 80 meter mark as it usually holds great fish.
Big John, yeah the beach launch is pertty good once you get a bit of experiance. I have had a few testing times and have had to help others out coutless times. This time of the year there is a lot of surge though which can make it tough.
