It's excellent Sam. Fast

It's excellent Sam. Fast action which loads up to a progressive curve. It's extremely comfortable matched to the SW8000PG. It's only a PE4 rod, but you can really push it well in excess of it's rating.

Whats it like jigging 300g?

Looks like a short foregrip...is that comfortable for you?

Spose everyone is different..

Very good. I was jigging

Tue, 2009-11-24 22:10

Very good. I was jigging 300-400g jigs with it. It's only rated to 170, but it's a stiff rod which requires a bit of weight to make it fold. It's really well suited to darting jigs. I'd really like to throw the expedition/20k on it with some PE8 & see just how much it can take.

You're right, the foregrip is quite short, but Honsu & Darren explained to me that when using a gimbal belt with this rod, it's better positioned well above your waist for comfort & leverage.

Very happy for you to give it a run if we cross paths jigging.

Always interesting to see how different rods perform.

Sounds like a nice stick

The rod definately seems

The rod definately seems underrated for what it can deal with. Loading it up, it feels like a very strong rod. Hopefully PE8 testing wont be destructive testing though :p
