It was good chewing Rosco... although being a Queenslander, I had my mate call his fisheries buddy to confirm it wouldn't be affected by cig poisoning.
20m of water truee sheet.... good effort! never fished for them or caught one but is that normal for them to come up from that depth? i suppose if the baits there the fish arnt far behind... where u suprised to see was a jobbie not a tuna which i presume you where chasing???
we were freediving in 20m once and someone in the boat caught a small scad or something. Anyway it didn't really survive and when chucked over a jobby came up from the bottom, took the fish back down and placed it on the sand and swam off. All the reefies tore in and had a free feed!
It smashed the popper so fast... didn't have a clue what it was. As soon as it hit the popper, it tried to brick me on the reef below. Probably one of the fastest but agressive fights I've had so far.
