The fighting whiting

Out on the 60mt line from Mandurah last saturday.
Day started quietly, so decided to downsize the rig after hearing a few KG's being boated over the two way.
Size 18 Tainawa hooks (3 x droppers) with a small lump of occy on each resulted in this (17kilo), a 5kg queenie and a 4 kilo pinky.
Nice way to christen the Penn 750 spinfisher rod/Penn 950ss combo recently purchased from Totally Wild in Mandurah.

fantastic effort on whiting hooks. might have got a small bait fish on the hook and the dhuie wanted it more, nice way to open the account with a new reel

the rod is one of the new
the rod is one of the new ones, only bought it and the reel a couple of weeks ago.
and it took 10, maybe 15 minutes to get it into the boat
