hey mate great fish! just wondering, when your jigging for ur snapper, queeny, fatty etc...are you usig a different style of jigging as to the sambos. Is it a slower jig? shorter or longer jigging strokes:)
Depends on the jigs, but yeah, diff style to dhuies. Generally not as frantic, long medium strokes to 'unbalance' the jig then drop the rod to give it some slack to let it flutter. Other wise a kinda yoyoing motion with short sharp (or medium-slow) jerks with slow winding alternating. Best advice is to mix it up and also watch what actions your jigs have by testing them out in the water before you drop them down to the bottom. I generally jig up around 10m, then drop back down.
