He'll do
Not a bad one at all. What was the carapace lenght. Looks like a snorter. Best I have caught in the now flooded Harvey river near Stansfield Rd (the old one) was 154mm and I was bone proud of that one. Even got it mounted.
That looks not very far off the mark.
Snare or net?
What waters?
And I wish they had Marron in the Pilbara. I miss it with a passion.

Cheers
To Be honest with you mate i didn't measure him. I was in the process of dropping some off for the missus's Nan when i though i had better get a pic and used the nearest thing (the Milk carton) to guage the size.
I caught them in a Dam on my parents farm in the ferguson valley. Netted him. Got some of his friends too. They were all just a little smaller than this.

Decent sized mate, I went up
Decent sized mate, I went up into Ferguson/Wellington mills on sunday just for the arvo, had a quick look around in some on the dams/ponds that were around. (Only tried the public ones haha) got a few small marron but nothing that big, but there was already plenty of pelets in the water where other people must have been snaring for them so they werent to interested in going into our nets.
