Be careful Kasey, just because you were the one that was lynched by others on Wangler doesn't mean that is the way others should be treated. I think this is a perfect example of how letting rip on people doesn't educate anybody, everyone just goes piss off, your a knobrash.
Now heres a question for you. Whilst the fingers are just inside the gill casings, does that mean that his fingers are actually in its gills?
I've held quite a fair few fish like that in my time and haven't actually touched the gills, only the bottom area where theres free space under the gills. Does this photo make this holding technique look worse than what it really is?

went to club marine but it was gone so headed out to pgfc drifted that about 20 times caught nothing trolled around it and still nothing so went back to sambo fishing over the weekend end i think i landed about 50 sambos my arm is so so so so so buggered.
plannaing on heading out again though to fight some more and improve my handling technik too. seems i upset some boys so now i am educated i can help our sambo stocks for everyone else.
He doesn't need to hurt them on Sambos, all those pesky dhufish and queen snapper work it out instead. Can't say enough about those reels when you see them in action, double the speed of the old tld20!

now now, I'm not going down THAT route. =P I'm merely offering a little uhm.. opiniated comment ;) Sounds a bit more serious than the same message you implied above, but I am hinting at the same point, nonetheless. Might sound hypocritical but I was pointing bits like that out from way before the... '6 page long thread'.
a couple more fish were felt about it that way... perhaps i should have just pointed that out in a more friendly manner, but in a way so as not to underscore the seriousness of the subject. unfortunately, maybe i have grown more cynical, or it has rubbed off on me; my apologies. but, of course i still retain respect and decency towards my fellow anglers.
of course, from an angling point of view, a commendable effort, no doubt. what a great fishery. i can't wait to just get back to FISHING.
