How deep are you fishing. Have not been sharked to date on the rubies but I am out in 280mtrs to 300mtrs.

They look like small all not
They look like small all not overly hungry sharks!! Normally they take it in one bite up to the gills. Try once you've found the fish on your sounder and marked them on the GPS turn your sounder off. Sharks can pick up and follow the "ping" of a transducer. Also using fresh squid for bait, throw no old bait over the side and bleed your fish in the esky will help you get a few drifts in before the tax man shows up.
I think if your getting sparked it's a good sigh nother people are fishing the area
