Well after 25 days in Leeman more or less the last two days 31/1 & 1/2/09 we ( 2 people on board) actually got out and got 4 dhuies (kept) 3 dhuie's (2 released) one didn't go back and one baldie, My PB as far as sharks go 1.5 meter Tiger Shark (released) and a Western Fox Fish. So we have a few fillets and the freezer is quarter full till we go back up hopefully the end of March and the weather gods are in all our favour.
The southerlies blew and blew for the 27 days we where there, wind in by 8.00am and blowing 30 knots by afternoon. Couldn't even go beach fishing.
yes the wind sure pisses you of sometimes, its been one of those years so far not to many days good for the fishing. still a couple in the freezer and on the bright sise you will go back ,well done on you PB
actually I think we are even Bob got two dhuie's and one baldchin groper and I got two dhuies and one tiger shark oh I forgot he did beat me by one the western fox fish. On the second day he got to his spot, said to me throw the sea anchor out, then said are you in the water, so I dropped down and whack got my dhuie, you can imagine what he said to me he he he, I suppose over two days we did ok, seeing we stared at the walls of the van and annexe (for 25 days), then down to the jetty to watch the wind on the water, god it blew, even the locals reckoned that it was November/December winds we were getting in January. Hope you all got out in Perth.
It was also funny not hearing the cray boats go out as they had 4 weeks off and should have their pots in the water from today, so no cray floats out there as well.

Nice work roberta.
