Unbelievable - I caught a 36cm flounder today near Seal Rock. Lost an anchor, chain and half me bloody rope earlier in the fishing trip trying to get some pinkies. Amazing how many going for the salmon at Mewstone's esp when they could have picked them up of the Woodman Point groyne.
got one that went 35cm last week off james service reef, dusted in flour with garlic parsley and paprika with melted butter. baked in the oven for 6 mins, bloody beautiful.

They still exist
I thought flounder had become extinct - I haven't caught one for more than 30 years.
