Gladstone, yaringa station

Its nearly 50 years since I was here last while working in a shearing team, now its full of grey nomads.  Does anyone know if they catch much

Many years back

I used to holiday at Yariga a great many years back and cull a few goats for skins to use as foot mats. The jetty was in fine shape then I guess like all things time has caught up with it.

You say the grey nomads haunt the place now, bugger they are like white ants, once they get into a place you never get rid of them. Do you know if the old shed is still standing next to the jetty. I think it was where wool used to be stored awaiting shipping.

We met up with net fisherman he caught 147 sea snakes in his net. So we didn't swim there much

Here are a couple of pics....  There are more channels than what you see here.  they're about 100 m wide and drop from 1m down to about 7m and are a couple of miles long.

Once you're on the flats, you'll see them pretty easily.
