GT on Stickbait

GT on Stickbait

Went out to the reef today using stickbaits.  Got this GT on the shallow stuff, they were swarming everywhere for a couple minutes then disappeared.  Ended up getting wiped out by a bigger one a bit later that took the stickbait home.  $60 lure ouch!

Looks like you dragged that fish out of some fairly shallow water Steve. Congratulations on a nice capture.

Regarding the lure, well, better to have loved and lost than never loved at all!

The fishwrecked attire never fails to produce, still looking for a bus that size up here in Exmouth.

Thanks guys, but that fish

Thanks guys, but that fish was a tiddler compared to "the ones that got away".  I was just a bit under-prepared in the shallow water (about one metre).
Fishyink, those lures are built tough, but the finish gets knocked around pretty quickly after a few red bass, long toms, trout and trevally.  Same as any wooden lure I suppose, they don't like teeth.  That one had plenty of paint missing when I lost it.
