What did you have your tyres set at vander? Was the chassy sitting on the sand?

hehe
Was going to say, looking at the depth of your tracks you still had your tyres up. If you dropped them slowly to make sure the chassy wasn't bottoming out you would have been able to back up and get out of there pretty easy. That sand doesn't look too bad, its when you have your tyres down and then get stuck that you start to worry!

My effort;
Was a competition track though. Draw number 34 slot - not happy. Busted first strap. Pulled out eventually.
All good fun.
Just got a set of Stauns too. 2 set at 24psi and 2 set at 14psi. great tool for easy tyre deflation.
Cheers Pete

Neander Unlucky, was the tide goingThu, 2008-03-27 06:34new
Unlucky, was the tide going out or coming in when you got bogged?
At least you got diggers standing
Exhaust jack the only way, fill the holes abit, engauge both lockers and just a bit of a tow backwards to be sure.
Tide was away from us, hit a weed patch covered with sand, my other tracks are 2m on the otherside, turd around to exit beach and sank, Another car parked 2m this side if us. Just unlucky hole.

Lockers are the go. IMO
Lockers are the go.
IMO the differences with a 4x4 with lockers is like comparing a 4x4 in low and a 4x4 in 2wd. HUGE.
