its a 575 Explorer with a 115hp Yammaha 4stroke, The bimmi needs modernisation :) and on the electronics I have in my old boat 787c2 hummingbird and am not sure if I want to move it into this boat as I guess it will help sell the old boat, currently she only has a basic GPS/Location no maps and Lowrance X105C which although seems OK seems oldish... any ideas on what combo electronics to get ? or general input ?

I do like the 3d imaging onn the new Humminbird gear but I dont think its really necessaary just looks pretty

Nice rig, always been a fan

Nice rig, always been a fan of those. Rod is a great guy to deal with up at the Boat Shack..

If you need someone to re-do the bimini, give Jason a call at The Trim Shop in Freo, PM me if you want his number. I've always used him for client's boats, as well as mine..great workmanship.

For gear under $2k, I'm about to order an A60 or A65 with the Navionics Gold card, pretty sold on the combo unit for what i'll use it for. Bonzer would be your cheapest option for most electronics, although Whitworths has finally taken the hint with everyone buying overseas and dropped their prices considerably. Don't know if any site sponsors stock electronics, but i'd check them out as I'm sure you'd get looked after..

Good looking rig there mate - nice and clean and great lines. I'd agree, Rod's a top bloke.

my pick!

Tue, 2008-08-12 10:43

Nice vessel Synthos, my pick would be a Furuno 585 sounder with a Navman Plotter. I've got a commercial 3D plotter/sounder setup and its great but I reckon spending the money on a good Furuno sounder is a better option!

Agree, Jason from the Trim shop has done all the stuff on my boats over the years and he's good!
