Thats a great picture for folks new to squidding in that you can get an idea what areas the squid are in along a jetty by the ink stains and you can tell if theres recent catches as well if the ink looks fresh,,if you are into night time squidding you can check out the where the most ink stains around the light poles as well but these are not nessarly the best places in the day time.
I have not squidded Busselton jetty for years but i would not bother with the first half of the jetty when i did, the last half seemed much better in the day time,,
When i was there i fished mostly the first part. I was getting squid every couple of casts in the shallows. The biggest one i got there was taken about half way. If the water is clear fish near the end and if it is murky squid in close.
That jig is a Harimitsu 3.0, great jigs in most colours.

What jig did you get him on? Still firing there?
I'm heading down this weekend with the old boy and hoping to nab a feed.
